ARTEDUSA charges a 15% commission on your sales. You receive 85% of the sale price of your artworks through Stripe Connect. The platform covers all transaction fees.
15% COMMISSION MODEL
Unlike traditional platforms that charge between 30% and 40% commission, ARTEDUSA only takes a 15% commission on your sales.
When a buyer pays EUR 500 for your artwork, you receive EUR 425 (85% of the price). ARTEDUSA takes EUR 75 (15%) to cover platform costs.
STRIPE FEES AND COMMISSION
Each credit card transaction incurs Stripe fees (1.75% + EUR 0.25 per transaction). On ARTEDUSA, our 15% commission covers these fees and platform costs.
Example: For a sale of EUR 500, you receive EUR 425 (85%). The EUR 75 commission (15%) covers Stripe fees (~EUR 9) and platform operating costs (~EUR 66).
HOW IT WORKS (STRIPE CONNECT)
ARTEDUSA uses Stripe Connect, a banking technology that automatically transfers 85% of the amount directly to your Stripe account.
The buyer's payment is split instantly: 85% to your artist account, 15% to the platform to cover costs.
COMPARISON WITH OTHER PLATFORMS
Most online art platforms charge significant commissions: Artsy (15-30%), Saatchi Art (35%), Etsy (6.5% + fees), Singulart (30-40%).
ARTEDUSA chose the 15% commission model to support artists and enable them to fully live from their art. This is competitive compared to other platforms.
REQUIREMENTS
To receive payments, you must have activated and validated your Stripe Connect account. Activation is done from your artist space.
Once your Stripe account is validated (identity verification and bank details), you can start selling and automatically receive 85% of payments.
