María Izquierdo

María Izquierdo is a Mexican painter born on October 30, 1902 in San Juan de los Lagos and died on December 3, 1955 in Mexico City. She is known for being the first Mexican woman to exhibit her artwork in the United States. Her paintings are characterized by the use of intense colors and varied themes, ranging from self-portraits to landscapes and still lifes.
