Giulio Romano, whose real name is Giulio Pippi, is an Italian painter, architect, and decorator of the 16th century, born in Rome around 1499 and died in Mantua on November 1, 1546. He is one of the first Mannerist artists of the Renaissance and the favorite pupil of Raphael. Giulio Romano is famous for his frescoes, architectures, and decorations, which have left a lasting mark on Italian Renaissance art.
